Wendy has been singing for the past twenty six years and through time has had the opportunities to expand her experiences in different genres of music.

 

Wendy started out her first professional performance in the piano bar at Le Meridien Hotel singing mostly jazz and pop standards. After a year and a half , she went on the front a rock and roll band thus allowing her to widen her repertoire and knowledge of dance music. Still wanting to experiment even more, she decided to give pop and hard rock a go and fronted a rock/disco band playing in several disco nightspots in Singapore and Malaysia. A huge feather in her cap would be being commissioned to the Elite Marina Bay sands Casino for over 2 years.

 

Not wanting to stagnate, Wendy was also throughout her career, involved in session singing for shows and events, counting Clement Chow, Robert Fernando, Anne Weerapass, Kuo Po as some whom she has performed with. With stage know-how, Wendy then opened a recording studio with a partner and has for the past twelve years, been doing vocal sessions for albums distributed out of Singapore.

 

She joined the Paradigm Songwriting Competition and won second prize for her effort. With that she was then commissioned to write for Prudential, NUSS and some local albums and was signed to Warner-Chappell for a period of three years. She is now in the process of penning her own songs which she hopes to release on a solo CD album soon.

 

She is now in the highlights of her singing career having done 7 concerts at the Esplanade Theatres. Wendy also conducts singing lessons and workshops for individuals and groups during her spare time which she carries out privately. Apart from her solo singing, she also does vocal arrangements for recording.

 

At this moment, Wendy is currently moonlighting only at private parties with acoustic accompaniment and delivers mostly ballads, standards and classics with the occasional alternative pick-me-up for a change of tempo.
